CATLOOPS CAT CAFÉ GRAND OPENING ONE MONTH AWAY
The Catloops Cat Café prepares for its grand opening on November 30th
Kamloops, BC – November 1, 2024
The Catloops Cat Café will be opening a month from now on November 30, 2024 in Kamloops through Sammy’s Forgotten Felines. The Café will be located in downtown Kamloops and renovations are being started to ensure the strict deadline of November 30th is met. Attendees can declare their attendance on the Catloops Cat Café website to receive an offer for a free small beverage while staying for at least one hour in the venue. Cat and animal lovers alike will be able to enjoy a light snack while in the company of felines roaming the café ready to be adopted.
The felines waiting to be adopted can be viewed on the Catloops Cat Café’s website prior to their first visitation. Each cat will have a profile with their personality traits and facts about them to help find the perfect fit for their forever home. The felines will be free roaming the café and interacting with patrons as they please. Children under the age of twelve will not be able to visit at this time to ensure both the felines and visitors remain safe and enjoy their visit to the upmost satisfaction.
While the venue continues to be put together, social media users can stay up to date on news and updates on both Facebook and Instagram. Followers will get access to behind the scenes content on the café and its felines as well as promotional offers to save during their first visit during the grand opening on November 30th. The Catloops Cat Café is excited to offer social media followers special perks for tagging the café in their individual posts to help spread the word about the café and increase adoptions for the felines roaming the café.
The Catloops Cat Café, in partnership with Sammy’s Forgotten Feline’s, is a cat café in Kamloops that will be opening on November 30th in downtown Kamloops. The café will offer light snacks including sandwiches and pastries in collaboration with local bakeries in town as well as both hot and cold drinks for patrons to enjoy. Felines available for adoption will roam the café as visitors enjoy their company with the hope of finding a new member of their families.

Implementation Plan:
Social media posting leading up to the event will take place twice per day to help grow a decent following of 2,000 followers and establish a place in the community to increase the number of visitors during the grand opening event on November 30th. At least 5 posts per week should be talking about the grand opening event promoting it in different ways to keep the content fresh while getting the same message across in new ways.
The event will take place on November 30th outside the Catloops Cat Café in downtown Kamloops. Setting up the venue outside will take around two hours to complete and our staff will start setting up around 6:00AM to make sure extra time is available if necessary.
Banners for the grand opening will be hung up above the entrance and a tent will be put up to the side of the door where hot drinks will be provided throughout the day for visitors to enjoy while waiting in line to get into the café. Flyers will be printed prior to the grand opening event with detailed information about the café and the services they offer as well as highlighting the felines currently available for adoption.
Reporting & Evaluation:
Success before the event will be measured by Catloops’ social media presence through their number of followers. A goal of increasing their Facebook followers from 1,500 to 2,000 before the day of opening will help establish a place in the community while spreading the word about the grand opening event as much as possible.
Success during the event will be measured by how many attendees show up early to wait in line and enjoy a warm beverage before the event actually starts. As the day progresses and the event continues, the number of felines adopted on the grand opening event should be another metric to be measured as an on-going counter so both the Catloops Cat Café as well as visitors can help as many felines as possible find their forever homes.
After the grand opening event concludes, the number of attendees will be the determining factor of the grand opening event’s success. The goal of 100 visitors, excluding media personnel and news stations, is the number that will be used to observe if the outlined goal was met. All media gathered from the event should be used as owned media going forward for the Catloops Cat Café as they begin to plan more events in the future.
